First Graphene strengthens leadership

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Dr Andy Goodwin appointed Non-Executive Director

  • Paul Ladislaus appointed Chief Technology Officer

  • Appointments to bolster delivery of Company’s corporate growth strategy

Advanced materials company, First Graphene Limited (“FGR” or “the Company”) (ASX: FGR) is pleased to announce two strategic appointments to the Company’s Board and senior management team.

Dr Andy Goodwin has been appointed Non-Executive Director and will transition to Senior Scientific Advisor, while Mr Paul Ladislaus has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Dr Goodwin joined First Graphene in 2017 initially as a Technical Advisor before becoming CTO in September 2018.

He led the launch of the Company’s PureGRAPH® products, established the UK R&D and marketing capabilities and has supported multiple customer engagements.

Mr Paul Ladislaus (MA MEng CEng MIChemE VR) will assume the role of CTO effective from 1 July 2020. He joined the Company in November 2018 as Senior Process Engineer and has since led manufacturing process upgrades, product quality programmes and R&D projects in rubber, plastics and supercapacitor technologies.

Paul Ladislaus is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK. He has 20 years of experience in a range of operational, design and R&D roles within the Speciality Chemicals Industry – most notably with Huntsman and Thomas Swan & Co.

Dr Andy Goodwin said, “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as CTO when we have strengthened our science and engineering capabilities and established PureGRAPH[®] as the market leader for graphene quality”. He added “I have worked with Paul for many years and know him as an excellent process engineer and an exceptional technical leader. I am confident he will deliver future success for the business”

The application of graphene offers international markets a variety of performance and durability benefits, from sectors including but not limited to energy, rubber, mining, textiles and construction.

Warwick Grigor, Non-Executive Chairman says “This is an important transition for the Company. I am confident Paul will continue to lead us forward as CTO and Andy will add a new dimension to the board with his wide experience of new product commercialisation. Dr Goodwin and Mr Ladislaus have been working closely together during the past few months to ensure a seamless and effective transition.
