ASX Announcement

9[th] December 2013

Multiple gravity targets identified on Billa Kalina tenements

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Multiple target areas identified based on gravity and magnetic data review

  • DMITRE gravity survey data (2013) confirms potential IOCG targets

  • Exploration planned to commence in January 2014, once regulatory approvals finalised.

Maximus Resources Limited, (ASX: MXR) is pleased to announce that following the release in November 2013 of gravity survey data recently collected by the Department of Manufacturing, Innovation, Trade, Resources and Energy (DMITRE), seven new gravity targets have been identified on the company’s tenements.

This significant new gravity survey is the first such survey undertaken in the area in over 3 decades targeting IOCG deposits and has the potential to significantly enhance the geological understanding of the region.

Maximus entered into a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Monax Alliance Pty Ltd (Alliance), a wholly owned subsidiary of Monax Mining Ltd, in November 2013 to undertake technical due diligence on the Billa Kalina Project located in the Gawler Craton region. Alliance has a 6 month exclusive period to complete Due Diligence on the Maximus tenements, at which point it can enter into a Farm-in Joint Venture Agreement.

The Billa Kalina Project comprises 4 granted tenements covering a total area of 2,342 sq km within the Olympic IOCG province on the Gawler Craton, where Alliance is targeting IOCG style mineralisation.

The DMITRE gravity survey across the Maximus tenement areas was completed on a 1km x 1km spacing, with Alliance proposing to test the target areas on closer spacings. Alliance is responsible for all exploration and tenement expenses during the MoU period.

Approvals are being sought from DMITRE and Department of Defence to complete the infill gravity surveys on the multiple targets, with on-ground works planned to commence in January 2014.
