ARSEUS STRENGTHENS MANAGEMENT

Waregem, 15 December 2008 – In order to enhance Arseus' strong growth, the Executive Committee of Arseus has decided to strengthen its Management Team.
Starting 1 January Mario Huyghe will be responsible for the Arseus Medical division. Mario already has a successful career behind him in the medical sector. He began working for Meda, a Belgian distribution group (presently named Acertys), and over the past nine years Mario has held a number of leading positions within General Electric Healthcare, including ones within the 'Life Support Anesthesie-Carestation' division for which he has had global responsibility since 2005. His university background (an engineering degree as well as an MBA at the Vlerick Management School), his knowledge of the Belgian market and his experience at General Electric will enable Mario to accelerate the turnround at Arseus Medical. Mario will report directly to Arseus' Executive Committee.
René Benninger has been appointed International Supply Chain Manager at Arseus Dental. Until now René has been responsible for Hader in Switzerland. Under his management Hader (a manufacturer of precision dental equipment) doubled sales and tripled profits over the past five years. This was achieved thanks to a successful innovation strategy, a targeted acquisition policy and the introduction of lean manufacturing at Hader. René will remain CEO of Hader Group, and Olivier Zaugg, who has held a variety of management positions at Hader for a number of years, will be appointed General Manager. René will report directly to Jan Peeters, CEO of Arseus Dental.
Lastly, Luc Pollaris has been recruited to manage the entire supply chain serving all Arseus' operations in Belgium. Luc will be responsible for the further implementation of the central warehouse management system in Waregem as well as streamlining the complete supply chain in Belgium. Luc has previously worked in a number of leading positions at Carrefour in Belgium. He will report directly to Arseus' Executive Committee.
Arseus' Executive Committee is convinced that these reinforcements will make a positive contribution to both the positive development of Arseus Medical and the optimization of Arseus' supply chain.
