Renounceable Entitlement Offer – Notification of Allotment

Amalgamated Holdings Limited ( AHL ) confirms that the allotment of 26,080,088 ordinary shares under the Renounceable Entitlement Offer announced to the market on 3 November 2009 took place today. AHL’s total issued capital, following allotment of these new shares, is 156,476,291 ordinary shares (including unquoted employee shares).

AHL also confirms that despatch of confirmation statements for the new shares occurred today.

All new shares that were to be issued under the Offer and not taken up by the holders of the entitlements have been allocated by AHL to those shareholders who applied for additional new shares. The Offer closed oversubscribed and, as a result, a scale-back of applications for additional new shares was implemented. The number of additional new shares issued to each eligible shareholder who applied under the Offer was capped at approximately 1 additional share for every 8 shares held by those applicants.

Please find attached a schedule of AHL’s 20 largest registered shareholders following today’s allotment.
