ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

The listed entertainment, hospitality and leisure operator Amalgamated Holdings Limited (“AHL”) today announced the appointment of Mr Ken Chapman as an independent nonexecutive director.

Mr Chapman, 48, has significant experience within the Australian tourism sector and his current positions include:

• executive director of the Chapman group of companies, a Cairns based business with diverse tourism, investment, agribusiness and real estate development interests; and

• Chief Executive Officer of Skyrail Rainforest Cableway (the most visited tourist operation in North Queensland) and Skyrail-ITM (a specialist cableway and tourism attraction management company).

In addition, Mr Chapman is a director of GFB Fisheries Limited and Far North Queensland Ports Corporation Limited, and Chairman of Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation and Skyrail Rainforest Foundation.

AHL Chairman, Mr Alan Rydge commented: “It is pleasing to appoint a North-Queensland based director, particularly given the Group’s extensive business interests in that region. Ken has extensive management and tourism experience with considerable knowledge of, and a passion for, the Australian tourism industry and is a valuable addition to the AHL Board”.
