EVN AG: Wiener Stadtwerke and EnBW conclude a purchase agreement for the acquisition of EVN shares held by EnBW

With reference to the notification received today that Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH and EnBW Trust e.V. have concluded a purchase agreement for the acquisition of a stake in EVN AG, we would like to issue a first statement:

“The Supervisory Board and Executive Board of EVN AG would like to thank the long-time investor EnBW and its representatives for their good cooperation.

In view of the challenges and opportunities related to climate change and the system transformation towards a renewable and secure energy future, EVN, as a listed energy and environmental services provider, welcomes the involvement of Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH as a future shareholder. A stable, long-term shareholder structure with the province of Lower Austria as the majority shareholder creates a sound basis for EVN to master the challenges of the future.”
