The management board of EVN AG (the 'Issuer') has decided to take the
necessary steps to implement a capital increase of up to 10% during the
second half of 2010. The contemplated capital increase is aimed at
strengthening the own capital resources of the Issuer. The contemplated
capital increase is subject to approval by the competent corporate bodies
of the Issuer, approval - depending on an acceptable offering structure -
by the Austrian Financial Market Authority of a potentially required
prospectus, as well as on favourable market conditions.
