Europris delivers a solid Christmas after a slow start to the quarter
Fredrikstad, 1 February 2018 (OSE:EPR):
Total group revenue for the fourth quarter 2017 were NOK 1,629 million, up 1.5
per cent from NOK 1,604 million in the equivalent period in 2016.
Europris continued its topline expansion in 2017, increasing group revenue by
6.6 per cent vs. last year to NOK 5,423 million, on the back of eleven new store
openings and a like-for-like performance of 3.1 per cent.
Adjusted net profit decreased by 6.3 per cent to NOK 388 million for the full
year, resulting in Adjusted EPS of NOK 2.32, down from NOK 2.48 last year.
- The fourth quarter did not match our internal goals and expectations this
year. However, Christmas was good, proving once again that our seasonal
performance is second to none. This, alongside the clear measures we have
implemented to address the challenges we faced in the period, make me confident
that we are on the right track going into 2018, says CEO Pål Wibe.
The Board of Directors of Europris ASA (the "Board") has decided to propose to
the Annual General Meeting an ordinary dividend for 2017 of NOK 1.70 per share.
