Fitch conferma per ERG il rating BBB- e Outlook stabile

Genova, 14 maggio 2020 - L'agenzia di rating Fitch Ratings ("Fitch") ha confermato per ERG S.p.A. un Long Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) di BBB- con outlook stabile ed un senior unsecured rating di BBB-.

Una conferma che riflette innanzitutto la solidità del profilo aziendale, con un contributo medio delle attività quasi-regolate pari al 70%-75% dell'EBITDA consolidato. La conferma del giudizio di Fitch è supportata dal portafoglio diversificato di asset composto da tecnologie clean, dalla resilienza dimostrata nell'ambito di un difficile contesto di mercato anche grazie all'efficacia dell'applicazione delle hedging policy di Gruppo, dall'assenza di esposizione commerciale nonché da un modello di impresa orientato alle tematiche ESG.

Tra i principali fattori di valutazione anche la capacità di gestire gli effetti legati alla pandemia COVID-19 ed il reiterato positivo track record della gestione manageriale. In qualità di fornitore di un servizio essenziale, ERG ha garantito la business continuity in assenza di criticità e ha mantenuto invariato l'obiettivo di una capacità installata di 3.6 GW al 2022.

Fitch affirms ERG's BBB- rating and stable outlook

Genoa, 14 May 2020 – Fitch Ratings ("Fitch") has affirmed ERG S.p.A.'s Long Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at BBB-, with stable outlook, and senior unsecured rating at BBB-.

This affirmation reflects above all the Group's robust business profile, with quasi-regulated activities averaging 70%-75% of consolidated EBITDA. The affirmation of Fitch's rating is supported by a diversified and clean asset base, proven resilience in the current tough market environment, also due to the effective application of the Group's hedging policy, in the absence of exposure to supply, and a business model oriented towards ESG issues.

The rating also considers ERG's ability to handle the effects associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and reiterated positive track record with regard to management. As provider of an essential service, ERG has ensured business continuity in the absence of criticality and continued to maintain its objective of 3.6 GW of installed capacity by 2022.
