New Chair of the Board Appointed

EP&T Global Limited ( EPX ) advises that Mr Jonathan Sweeney has resigned as Chair and as a Non-Executive Director, effective 26 March 2024. Mr Paul Oneile, who joined the Board on 1 February 2024, is appointed as the Chair of the Board effective, 26 March 2024.

As disclosed in the Company Annual General Meeting of 29 November 2023, Mr Sweeney had notified the Board that it will receive his resignation upon the earlier of the appointment of a new Chair of the Board or 30 April 2024. The Board undertook a search process and on 1 February 2024, appointed Mr Paul Oneile as a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. After an appropriate transition and handover period, Mr Sweeney has tabled his resignation as Chair and as a Non-Executive Director of the Board. Mr Paul Oneile was appointed as the new Chair of the Board.

Jonathan Sweeney, said” Due to John Balassis’ leadership EPX is in great shape. The management team has been restructured, the Board refreshed with appropriate skill sets, the business has achieved operational cashflow breakeven and the recent capital raising has strengthened the balance sheet and resourced the business for growth. It is an appropriate time for me to hand over to Paul Oneile as Chair. I wish the business and all its great people the best of success.”

Paul Oneile, said, “Jonathan has played a pivotal role in transitioning EPX from IPO to today. He provided leadership and stability at an important time of EPX, as it transitioned from a long period of private ownership to an appropriately governed ASX entity. This included overseeing the renewal of the Board, appointment of new directors and the transition of the business to be operational cashflow positive whilst continuing to grow revenue.”

Mr Oneile brings considerable experience as Chair, having served on boards across a diverse range of public and private companies including technology, financial services, entertainment and gaming. Mr Oneile was previously the CEO of Aristocrat Leisure Limited.
