Friday, 16 January 2009 : Environmental Clean Technologies Limited ( ASX:ESI ) advises that under the terms of its Subscription Agreement with Pacific Capital Value Limited (‘PCVF’), PCVF is not obliged to subscribe for convertible notes if at the time the note were to be issued the volume weighted average price VWAP of shares for any of the previous 30 days was below AUD$0.03. Accordingly, at the present time PCVF is entitled to but not obliged to subscribe for notes.

PCVF has stated to ESI that it does not intend to subscribe for a second tranche of convertible notes by 18 January, 2009 as previously intended.
