ARUP ADVANCES FEASIBILITY STUDY

10 April 2008 : (ASX:ESI) ECT is pleased to announce that Arup, a leading global firm of designers, engineers, planners and business consultants, has informed ECT that is now well advanced in the ‘Front End Engineering Design Study’ for the Coldry Demonstration Plant feasibility study.

Arup has captured past research and as a result of that research and the front end design study, work is now well underway to completing the Preliminary Design Brief, an essential component of the feasibility study which is due in July 2008.

Arup’s overall role includes design, documentation, assistance with construction activities, commissioning and review of operational data obtained from constructed Coldry plants, with a view to optimising future operational efficiencies.

Arup is working with ECT on a ‘Risk Share’ basis and the feasibility study will result in the ability for construction of a Demonstration Plant with a nominal capacity of 150,000 tonnes per annum to be expanded to 2,500,000 tonnes per annum.
