Chairman Appointed

Tuesday, 26 November 2013: Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ASX: ESI) (ECT or Company) is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Mr Glenn Fozard has been appointed as Chairman of the Board.

Mr Fozard joined the Board of ECT on 17 July 2013 as a Non-Executive Director and assumes the role of Chairman following a period of rotation among the current Directors.

ECT Managing Director, Ashley Moore commented, “Given Glenn’s past involvement and current contribution he was unanimously elected to the role of Chairman. In addition to his capital management, technology development and risk management skills, Glenn is also a Latrobe Valley local, providing a strong community-based perspective and presence to our local deployment endeavors.”

Mr. Fozard brings to ECT a strong commercial background and extensive experience in the finance and capital markets at both the Board and executive management level, with over 13 years experience in the finance sector holding various senior management and sales roles, including 5 years at Macquarie Bank’s Securitised Lending division.

Holding an advisory position with ECT for over 5 years prior to his appointment as a Director earlier this year, Mr Fozard has contributed significantly towards the capital raising for the company during that time.

Following his appointment, Mr Fozard commented “I am pleased to have been elected to this position by my board peers and am excited at the prospects of a revitalised, yet focused, 2014. The previous year has seen as much frustration as achievement and the current board has been focused over the last few months on developing our core strategy and refining governance structures and controls ahead of what is expected to be a very busy 2014. Our company looks forward to turning our valuable learnings into even more valuable outcomes through three platforms of focus:

    1. To continue to pursue demonstration opportunities in Victoria
    1. To execute on the Indian strategy which includes:
    • Establishing demonstration projects

    • Establishing plant manufacturing partners

    1. To initiate the next development phase of Matmor toward pilot scale

On a personal level and as a local resident of the Latrobe Valley, Coldry is a compelling ‘gateway’ solution to industry-wide brown coal beneficiation solutions and will be an important de-risking step for the large Government and private investment needed to support this emerging industry. Managed well, our company’s future is very bright.”

About Coldry

When applied to lignite and some sub-bituminous coals, the relatively simple Coldry beneficiation process produces a black coal equivalent (BCE) in the form of pellets. Coldry pellets have equal or superior energy value to many black coals and produce lower CO2 emissions than raw lignite.

About MATMOR

The MATMOR process has the potential to revolutionise primary iron making.

MATMOR is a simple, low cost, low emission, production technology, utilising the patented MATMOR retort, which enables the use of cheaper feedstocks to produce primary iron.
