ECT ENTERS NEW ERA

22 April 2008 : (ASX:ESI) Environmental Clean Technologies is delighted to announce that it has appointed Mr Dave Woodall to Chair its Board of Directors after the resignation of Mr Murray d’Almeida to pursue his business and private interests in Queensland.

Dave Woodall has served as Chairman of the Queensland China Council. He is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Directors and Australian Institute of Management and has an outstanding mining and energy industry business history holding senior roles in MIM and international mining commodity trading company, Mintrade Pty Ltd. He is a well seasoned and award winning CEO and company director with significant knowledge of corporate governance and corporate law. He has considerable non-executive Board experience and has greatly contributed to community organisations and was awarded ‘Not-for-Profit CEO of the Year’ for his work with the Abused Child Trust.

The Managing Director, Mr Con Galtos, speaking on behalf of the board said; “The Board is very pleased to have attracted a person of Dave Woodall’s calibre to lead ECT into the next exciting phase of its development.”

He expressed sincere appreciation for the contribution, efforts and dedication of Mr D’Almeida who assumed the responsibility of Chairman when the company was in a most difficult situation. ECT is now ready for immediate commercialisation and will continue its search for appropriate directors to assist in its forward strategy.

To underpin the company’s progress and for working capital requirements, Phillip Capital and Intersuisse Limited have managed a placement to sophisticated investors; being 12.8 million shares to raise $640,000. This Placement will contribute to the ongoing operating expenses leading into construction of a Coldry demonstration plant in the La Trobe Valley, Victoria and is intended to be part of a capital raise that will be underpinned by key cornerstone investors.
