Former MD stands down from Board

Friday 18 July 2008 : Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ASX:ESI) Director, Con Galtos has tendered his resignation from his position on the Board, effective 30 July 2008.

Mr Galtos fulfilled his 12 month contractual obligation as Managing Director in May 2008 and remained on the Board at the request of his fellow Directors to ensure a smooth transition for the new Directors.

During his resignation announcement at yesterday’s Board meeting, Mr Galtos told Chairman Dave Woodall and his fellow directors that the company was now positioned for a very successful future.

“A new and highly experienced Board, good managerial leadership, a very experienced company secretary and with the company’s corporate governance the best it’s ever been, ECT is definitely ready for a most successful future,” he said.

During the 12 month period as Managing Director, Mr Galtos was instrumental in forming strategic partnerships with a number of reputable industry leaders including Deloitte, Arup and McConnell Dowell. These companies are integral in the development of the proposed 150,000 tonne commercial demonstration plant which is expected to start construction early next year.

Mr Galtos displayed professionalism and a high level of commitment to the company’s success when he actively pursued the company’s new Chairman Dave Woodall and new Director, Dr Dennis Brockenshire. The Board now has the professional experience to provide the strategic direction to realize the company’s potential in this new age of environmental responsibility.
