CHANGES TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Chairman of Environmental Clean Technologies Limited (ASX:ESI), Mr Murray d'Almeida, today announced the appointment of Mr John Hutchinson as a Non-executive Director of the Company and the resignation of Mr Tony Gates as a Director of the Company.

"I am pleased to advise that, effective today Mr John Hutchinson has been appointed as a Non-executive Director of Environmental Clean Technologies Limited. John Hutchinson has a Diploma of Mechanical Engineering, is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Chartered Professional Engineer.

Born, educated and initially employed at Yallourn, John enjoyed a variety of engineering tasks which led to senior management roles in the State Electricity Commission of Victoria. He was responsible for \$12 Billion of Electricity Generating, Coal Production and Latrobe Valley SEC assets and their performance for over five years. John later became General Manager of the Coal Corporation of Victoria and the first CEO of Energy Brix Australia, guiding the latter to profitability from a major inherited loss.

It is with regret that I also advise the resignation of Tony Gates as a Director of the Company due to the pressure of his other business interests, which are primarily Perth based. The Board thanks him for his contribution to the Company."

Mr Con Galtos, Managing Director of Environmental Clean Technologies, said:

"The appointment of John Hutchinson to the Board provides the Company with the benefit of his substantial engineering experience including design projects, plant operation, plant performance analysis, plant improvement, major projects and extensive maintenance outage management. His engineering work incorporated major brown coal boilers, high pressure steam and gas turbines and associated plant, coal winning and handling systems and briquette manufacturing factories.

John has maintained extensive professional, government and community networks across Gippsland and Victoria and is keen to continue working to ensure the sustainability and positive growth of both in the future based on the State's major brown coal resources, through initiatives such as the Company's unique Coldry process."
