Mergers of Kymen Puhelin, Telekarelia and PPO-Yhtiöt have been registered

ELISA STOCK EXCHANGE RELEASE 31 DECEMBER 2013 AT 10am

The mergers of Kymen Puhelin Oy, Telekarelia Oy and PPO-Yhtiöt Oy are
registered into Finnish Trade register today.

The number of new Elisa shares, that have been given as merger consideration,
is 1,830,413, which is approximately 1.1 per cent of the total number of Elisa
shares. The owners of Kymen Puhelin will receive 1,602,288 and owners of
Telekarelia 228,125 shares. PPO-Yhtiöt Oy was prior to the merger a 100 per
cent subsidiary to Elisa and therefore no new shares will be issued in a
subsidiary merger. The total number of Elisa shares after the merger is
167,335,073 shares.

The shares received as merger consolidation will be entered into book-entry
accounts on 31 December 2013 and trading in NASDAQ OMX Helsinki will begin
approximately on 2 January 2014.
