Sayona Mining Limited (ASX: SYA) – Trading Halt (2+2)

Description

The securities of Sayona Mining Limited (‘SYA’) will be placed in trading halt at the request of SYA, pending it releasing an announcement regarding a capital raising. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in trading halt until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 22 July 2020 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Request for Trading Halt

Sayona Mining Limited (SYA) requests an immediate trading halt on its securities pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1. For the purposes of Listing Rule 17.1 and in support of the request, the Company:

1. advises that the trading halt is requested pending the release of an announcement on the placement of a shortfall from its pro-rata rights issue the Company that closed on 22 April 2020;

2. requests that the trading halt remain in place until such time as it makes an announcement to the market regarding the placement of that shortfall, at the latest after four trading days on the start of normal trading on Wednesday 22 July 2020; and

3. advises that it is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
