Appointment of Managing Director, Elders Rural Services

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Mike Guerin as Managing Director of Elders Rural Services.

Mike will join Elders in March 2008, and comes to our Company from a farming background. He has extensive experience in rural distribution and network operations with ANZ Bank, where his positions included Head of Rural Banking, Australia. His most recent appointment was Managing Director, Pacific – Personal Division, Australia.

Mike’s strengths are an intimate knowledge of customers and distribution, change management and strategic thinking. He has been one of ANZ’s outstanding leaders. However he has long harboured a desire to move into a broadly based management role and Elders is an ideal step for him.

You will find Mike passionate about rural enterprise and activities, which extends back to his farm upbringing in rural New Zealand.

Mike is 40 years old, and is married to Mary with 2 children.

Mike’s appointment marks the end of an extensive search process to find the leader who will take Elders into its next stage of development.

We are delighted to have secured his commitment and see that his skills and personal attributes align very closely with Elders culture and aspirations.

We look forward to working with Mike as he leads Elders forward.
