Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility or Connected Persons

Melanie Gee a non-executive director of Drax notified the Company on 7 March 2013 that she has purchased 7,900 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 624.999 pence per share.

The shares are to be registered in the name of UBS Private Bank Nominees Limited and the beneficial owner is Melanie Gee.  The total number of ordinary shares in which Melanie Gee has an interest following this acquisition is 7,900.

The notification is in accordance with DTR 3.1.4 R(1)(a) and DTR 3.1.4 R(1)(b) and the dealing was in respect of ordinary shares of 11 16/29 pence each in the share capital of the Company of which there were 401,590,233 shares in issue at the time of the dealing.
