Clarification of Issue Date

Sovereign Gold Company Limited advises with respect to the Non-Renounceable Rights Issue announced on Friday 1 April 2016 that:

1. The issue date and date of dispatch of New Shares holding statements under the Entitlement Offer and the Additional Share Offer (if any) will be 23 May 2016; and

2. Deferred settlement trading will end on 23 May 2016.
