Executive Appointment - Senior Geologist

Peter Kennewell (B.Sc., MAusIMM.) has joined Sovereign Gold as a Senior Consulting Geologist. Peter has a distinguished career, having worked for the last 26 years for Cluff Resources Pacific NL as Exploration Manager, and the last 8 years as Managing Director.

Peter has successfully overseen the development of mines, from resource evaluation, prefeasibility study, environmental impact approvals, grant of mining tenements and funding arrangements, through to plant and accommodation construction and staffing.

Other roles undertaken by Peter include Exploration Geologist for BHP and a period at the Commonwealth Department of National

Development and the Bureau of Mineral Resources (now Geoscience Australia).

Peter will assist Sovereign Gold achieve investment growth & will help evaluate project & commercialisation strategies.

Sovereign Gold Company is exploring a large Intrusion-Related Gold System at the Rocky River-Uralla Goldfield in New South Wales.

Sovereign Gold’s project covers 2,500 square kilometres.

The project is located around the township of Uralla, 21km southwest of Armidale, New South Wales, Australia, with superb infrastructure logistics. It is close to major roads, rail, airport, labour source, university, power, and engineering.

Available production records indicate that the Rocky River-Uralla Goldfield yielded 5,193 kg (approximately 167,000 ounces) of gold mostly from Tertiary deep leads during the period 1858-1967.
