New Delhi, November 1 2th, 2018:Cosmo Films Limited, a glob a l leader in films for packaging, lab e lling& lamination applications and synthetic paper today declared its financi a l results for the quarter ended Septembe r 30, 2018.
During Q2, FY19 net reve n ue increased by 14% YOY due to partial p ass through of increase inraw material prices, increase in sales volume and b etter sales mix. Domestic commodi t y film margins declined further on Y-o- Y basis, the Company could however, maintain EBITDA (excluding one-time ite m ) primarily from enhanced operation a l efficiencies, better sales mix and tax i n centives on new investment.
Commenting on the finan c ial performance of the company Mr. Pankaj Poddar, CEO, Cosmo Films Ltd. said, “The Company is navigating the t ough times emanating from extrem e ly poor commodity pricing in domestic market and remained focus on impr o ving sales mix, focusing on internal effi c iencies and increasinginternational s a les. Though predictions cannot be made o n domestic commodity margins, demand and supply is expected to balance o u t over next 3-4 Quarters. The i m provement in overseas subsidiaries o perationsis encouraging and we e x pect further growth in sales in t h e overseas subsidiaries.
