APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Reference is made to the announcement of the COSCO SHIPPING Development Co., Ltd. (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) dated 27 July 2018 in relation to, among other things, the resignation of the chief accountant of the Company (the “ Chief Accountant ”).

The board of directors (the “ Board ”) of the Company is pleased to announce that, with effect from 10 September 2018, Mr. Lin Feng (“ Mr. Lin ”) has been appointed as the Chief Accountant.

The biographical details of Mr. Lin are set out as follows:

Mr. Lin, aged 43, graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Agriculture and Biology (上海交通大學農業與生物學院) (formerly known as Shanghai School of Agriculture (上 海農學院)) with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and holds the title of accountant. From July 1997 to December 2007, Mr. Lin served as a financial officer of the branch office of Shanghai Haixing Freight Co., Ltd.[#] (上海海興貨運有限公司), the deputy chief financial officer and the chief financial officer of the finance department in Shanghai of China Shipping Bulk Carrier Co., Ltd.[#] (中海散貨運輸有限公司) (formerly known as China Shipping Development Co., Ltd. Tramp Co.[#] (中海發展股份有限公司貨輪公司)). He also served as the deputy director and director of the planning department and the budget management department of China Shipping (Group) Company[#] (中國海運（集團）總公司) from January 2008 to January 2014. From January 2014 to August 2018, Mr. Lin served as the chief accountant and the deputy general manager of COSCO SHIPPING Financial Holdings Co., Ltd. (中遠海運金融控股有限公司) (formerly known as China Shipping (Hong Kong) Holdings Co., Limited (中國海運（香港）控股有限公司)).
