APPOINTMENT OF NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

Coppermoly Limited (ASX/POMSOX: COY) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Maurice Gannon to replace Mr Peter Swiridiuk as the Company’s Managing Director (MD).

Mr Gannon has been an Officer of the Company since January 2008 and an Executive Director since February 2010. He currently performs the combined roles of Executive Director (Operations), Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. He holds a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and a Certificate in Business Management.

Mr Gannon has 25 years’ experience in financial and management roles and a professional background in earth and environmental sciences. He is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries, a Fellow of Chartered Secretaries Australia, an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Coppermoly Chairman Dr Geoff Booth said: “ Maurice has performed a very significant role in steering the company through the early stages of its corporate development in both Australia and Papua New Guinea. More recently, he has been instrumental in attracting new investors to the company who bring with them an exceptional suite of geological, technical and mining industry finance skills.”
