ANNOUNCEMENT

Following a request of CMVM in relation to the news published yesterday, March 2nd, at 22:34, by Observador newspaper with the title "Media Capital, owner of TVI, in negotiations to buy Cofina, which owns Correio da Manhã", Cofina, SGPS, S.A. ("Cofina") hereby clarifies that, taking into account its nature as a holding company, it permanently assesses all business opportunities that may enhance the value of its assets, in a perspective of purchase or sale.

Cofina further clarifies that preliminary approaches were made by several external advisors, in order to initiate possible negotiations, which are being analysed by the Company, without there being, at the present date, any decision or conversations between Cofina and, namely, Grupo Média Capital, SGPS, S.A. or its shareholders, in connection with the matter of said news.
