YPB expands Distribution into Thailand

Anti-counterfeiting technology Company YPB Group Limited (ASX: YPB) (YPB, the Company) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Dane Chuntraruk to the position of General Manager – Thailand and has established an office to represent YPB in the Kingdom.

Dane graduated with a BA from Bangkok University after attending Military College in the USA following which he has pursued a career as a Professional Tennis player gaining 34 titles and representing Thailand on the Tour. Dane’s dual nationality and dual English/Thai language skills have led him into business and in particular Dane has spent several years recently as an agent in transnational crime working closely with the Economic Crime Suppression Division of the Royal Thai Government. In this recent role he has worked with the Royal Thai Police in the Division responsible for counterfeit and he has also operated a coaching Academy in Thailand which has brought him into contact with business leaders and Government agencies that we believe will be very receptive to YPB’s anti-counterfeit solutions both commercially and at Government level.

YPB’s CEO John Houston commented “it is a pleasure to welcome Dane into the YPB team and also to open an office in Thailand, where I have spent several years myself building business and strong corporate relationships. Dane’s experience with the Royal Thai Police will be invaluable to YPB in the future as will his established contacts in the Commercial arena in Thailand”.

“This is the final step for 2014 to establish a very strong distribution platform for YPB in 2015 and ongoing, we now are building on our established platform in China, have opened in USA thanks to Brand Reporter, have entered into an agreement with Impact Media Solutions (IMS) for distribution in Indonesia and India and now have Thailand covered”.

YPB now enters into 2015 with distribution in China, Thailand, Indonesia, India and USA through a sensible combination of direct and distributor models to maximise opportunities and manage costs.
