POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

This announcement is made by China Information Technology Development Limited (the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, collectively the “Group”) pursuant to Rule 17.10 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on the Growth Enterprise Market (the “GEM”) of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “GEM Listing Rules”) and Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571, Laws of Hong Kong).

The board of directors (the “Board”) of the Company wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company (the “Shareholders”) and potential investors that based on preliminary review on the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group, the Group is expected to record a profit of no less than approximately HK$5 million for the three months ended 31 March 2017 as compared to a loss of approximately HK$10.5 million incurred for the three months period ended 31 March 2016. The profit was mainly attributable to the unaudited fair value gain on securities investments of approximately HK$12.6 million.

Since the Company is still finalizing its unaudited consolidated management accounts for the three months ended 31 March 2017, the information contained in this announcement is only based on the preliminary assessment by the management of the Company in accordance with the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2017 and is not based on any figures or information which has been audited by the auditor or audit committee of the Company. Shareholders of the Company and potential investors are advised to read carefully the announcement on the unaudited consolidated quarterly results of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2017, which is to be published on 12 May 2017.
