The Board of CellaVision AB appoints Steve Ferguson as CEO

The Board of Directors of CellaVision AB (publ) ("CellaVision" or the "Company") has today appointed Steve Ferguson as the new Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. The Company's current CEO, Simon Østergaard, will remain with CellaVision during a transition period to ensure a smooth handover.

Steve Ferguson holds a degree in Business from Queen's University Belfast. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the biotechnology industry and most recently served as CEO of the biotechnology company Medix Biochemica, a position he held since 2020. Prior to that, Steve served as Vice President of European Operations at ThermoFisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division. Before his time at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Steve held various leadership positions at Lundbeck Ltd. The Board believes that now is the right time for new leadership that can guide CellaVision towards a clearer commercial focus, to drive a stronger growth agenda for the current portfolio and execute the commercialization of the innovation portfolio.
