Buxton Board Changes

Mr Ronald Smit, Technical Director of Buxton Resources Limited (ASX: BUX) has advised the Board that he intends to resign as a director of the Company, effective from 5pm on 31[st] December 2010.

Mr Smit has made an invaluable contribution to Buxton as a director and has provided dedicated leadership as the former Managing Director of the company.

The Company acknowledges Ronald’s contribution to Buxton and wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Current Company Secretary, Mr Sam Wright has agreed to serve as interim Non-Executive Director while the company continues its search for a suitable replacement.

Mr Wright is experienced in the administration of ASX listed companies, corporate governance and corporate finance. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and the Chartered Secretaries of Australia.

Mr Wright is currently a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed companies, PharmAust Limited and Structural Monitoring Systems plc. He is also Company Secretary for ASX listed companies, Buxton Resources Limited, Cove Resources Limited, Mount Magnet South NL, PharmAust Limited, Structural Monitoring Systems plc, and Uran Limited. Mr Wright has also filled the role of Director and Company Secretary with a number of unlisted companies. He is the principal of Perth-based corporate advisory firm Straight Lines Consultancy, specialising in the provision of corporate services to public companies
