ASX Announcement – BioPharmica Ltd (ASX: BPH)

Resignation/Appointment of Chairman Appointment of Non-Executive Director

BioPharmica Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Seng Yap to Chairman of BioPharmica. Seng has previously held the position of Non-Executive Director with BioPharmica.

In a further positive development for BioPharmica, Mr Hock Goh has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.

Mr Seng Yap replaces Mr David Breeze, who will remain a Director of BioPharmica. In making the announcement, Mr Breeze said: “These Board appointments will allow for further growth opportunities for the company which will benefit from the international networks and corporate management and consulting business experience of both Mr Yap and Mr Goh.”

Hock Goh is an operating partner with Baird Capital Partners, a US based private equity group. Baird Capital Partners provides capital to companies in the areas of Business Services, Manufactured Products and Healthcare.

Until recently, Hock was President of Network and Infrastructure Solutions, a division of Schlumberger Limited, based in London with revenue in excess of US$1.5 billion. He had global responsibility of Schlumberger's outsourcing services, security, business continuity and networked related business units.

Prior to that, Hock was President of Schlumberger Asia based in Beijing, China, where he managed their Asia operations consisting of a broad range of services including IT outsourcing, telecom billing and messaging products, financial software and smartcards, and oil field services. In his 25 years career with Schlumberger, Hock held several other field and management responsibilities in the oil and gas industry spanning more than ten countries in Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Mr Hock Goh is currently Chairman of MEC Resources (ASX: MMR) and Chairman-elect of unlisted company Advent Energy Limited. He also serves on the board of Xaloy Holdings Inc., a US based steel components manufacturer for plastic injection and extrusion machineries and THISS Technologies Limited, a Singapore based satellite communication technology provider.
