Total revenues of BETA Systems Software AG increased by 18.9% from EURO 7.4 million in the first quarter of 2000 to EURO 8.8 million in the first quarter of 2001. The operating loss decreased from EURO 3.6 million in the first quarter of 2000 to EURO 1.7 million in the first quarter 2001. The loss before interest and taxes decreased from EURO 2.6 million in 2000 to EURO 1.4 million in the first quarter 2001. The loss before taxes decreased by EURO 1.1 million from EURO 2.4 million in 2000 to EURO 1.3 million in the first quarter of 2001. This corresponds to a reduction of the pre-tax loss by 48.4%.
