2019 YtD Net Inflows: € 2.0 billion May 2019 Net Inflows: € 164 million

Milan, 11th June 2019

The Azimut Group recorded total net inflows of ca. € 164 million in May 2019, thereby reaching almost € 2.0 billion since the beginning of the year.

During the month, the Group completed the acquisition of P&G SGR, one of the main operators in Italy active in the ABS and structured credit sectors. Azimut will therefore be able to fully leverage on their specific expertise for both the management of existing funds, as well as for the development of new funds in the future.

Total Assets under Management stood at € 42.2 billion, and including assets under administration reached € 54.6 billion at the end of May.

Pietro Giuliani, Chairman of the Group, comments: "The positive number recorded in May was partly affected by an increase in volatility as well as the redemption of an institutional mandate with low profitability. Nonetheless, this figure strengthens the results we achieved since the beginning of the year, with total Net Inflows reaching ca. € 2 billion. Despite volatile markets, the net weighted average performance to our customers is still above +4.3%, well over the index of our competitors. Finally, I am pleased to welcome in the Group the founders of P&G, Fabiana Gambarota and Luca Peviani. Thanks to their know-how and long lasting expertise in these asset classes, they will help our customers achieve a superior and uncorrelated performance to most traditional markets."

Azimutis Italy's leading independent asset manager (active since 1989). Raccolta netta da inizio anno positiva per ca. € 2,0 miliardi Raccolta netta in maggio positiva per ca. € 164 milioni

Il Gruppo Azimut ha registrato nel mese di maggio 2019 una raccolta netta positiva per ca. € 164 milioni, raggiungendo così quasi € 2,0 miliardi da inizio anno.

Nel corso del mese si è perfezionato l'acquisto del ramo di azienda di P&G SGR, uno dei maggiori operatori in Italia attivi nel segmento del credito strutturato e delle ABS. Il Gruppo potrà così avvalersi delle specifiche competenze a beneficio della propria clientela, sia per la gestione dei prodotti già in essere, sia per lo sviluppo di nuovi prodotti in futuro.

Il totale delle masse comprensive del risparmio amministrato si attesta a fine maggio a € 54,6 miliardi, di cui € 42,2 miliardi fanno riferimento alle masse gestite.

Pietro Giuliani, Presidente del Gruppo, commenta: "Il dato positivo del mese, che ha risentito tuttavia dell'incremento della volatilità sui listini così come del disinvestimento di un mandato con bassa reddittività di un cliente istituzionale, rafforza i risultati conseguiti da inizio anno portando la raccolta totale a raggiungere i 2 miliardi di euro. Nonostante i mercati, la performance media ponderata netta ai nostri clienti è superiore al +4.3%, ben al di sopra dell'indice di mercato dei nostri concorrenti. Do infine il benvenuto ufficiale a Fabiana e Luca, che con il loro know-how e la loro esperienza come fondatori di P&G, ci aiuteranno ad aumentare le possibilità per i nostri clienti di avere performance sempre superiori e decorrelate dalla maggior parte dei mercati."
