Azimut grows in the Private Markets sector by acquiring a stake in Sanctum Altriarch Investment Management, specialized in the innovative Venture Debt asset class and based out of the Silicon Valley
Total Private Markets AuM managed by AACP's affiliates reaches \$ 17 billion

Azimut Group ("Azimut" or the "Group"), one of Europe's largest independent asset managers, via its US subsidiary Azimut Alternative Capital Partners, LLC ("AACP"), entered into agreements to acquire a minority equity interest in Sanctum Altriarch Investment Management and certain affiliated entities (together, "Sanctum Altriarch"), an emerging, diverse venture lending firm based in Palo Alto, CA and Charleston, SC.
Formed in 2022, Sanctum Altriarch is an emerging, diverse private credit firm focused on making senior secured and subordinated loans of \$10-50 mln to venture-backed technology companies with enterprise values of \$50 mln to \$1 bn. Venture lending continues to be an underserved and undermarketed segment of private credit and presents a significant opportunity for growth in today's markets.
The firm is led by Shant Sood, Ash Vaidya and Danielle Brown, who bring decades of relevant experience to their respective roles. Investment activities are led by Ash and Shant who have invested in this asset class over multiple cycles at four major vending lending firms including Hercules, Triplepoint, Wellington and Comdisco. They together have over 40 years of venture lending, investment banking, and technology operating experience. Danielle, whose 20-year career has spanned operations, investments, and client development will guide Sanctum Altriarch's non-investment activities. Prior to launching Sanctum Altriarch, Danielle was a Managing Director at Dyal Capital Partners overseeing strategic efforts at underlying portfolio companies.
The transaction entails AACP acquiring a ca. 12.5% equity interest in Sanctum Altriarch via a contribution to the growing firm's working capital and an anchor commitment to its first fund. The transaction proceeds will be used for operating expenses and to establish the highest standards for institutional investors from day one and to set the firm up for long-term growth and success.

Il Gruppo Azimut ("Azimut" o il "Gruppo"), uno dei più grandi operatori indipendenti nel risparmio gestito in Europa, attraverso la sua controllata statunitense Azimut Alternative Capital Partners, LLC ("AACP"), ha siglato un accordo per l'acquisizione di una partecipazione di minoranza in Sanctum Altriarch Investment Management e in alcune entità affiliate ("Sanctum Altriarch"), gestore emergente specializzato nel Venture Debt basato tra Palo Alto (California) e Charleston (Carolina del Sud).
Costituito nel 2022, Sanctum Altriarch è un gestore di private credit che si focalizza in prestiti senior e subordinati con taglio da 10 a 50 milioni di dollari, principalmente in società tecnologiche con enterprise value compreso tra 50 milioni e 1 miliardo di dollari già investite da operatori di venture capital. Il venture lending continua ad essere un segmento del credito privato poco servito e poco commercializzato, presentando quindi una significativa opportunità di crescita considerata l'attuale fase di mercato.
La società è stata costituita dai Managing Partners Shant Sood, Ash Vaidya e Danielle Brown. Le attività di investimento sono guidate da Ash e Shant, che insieme vantano oltre 40 anni di esperienza nel venture lending, investment banking e technology maturati presso primarie società di venture lending, tra cui Hercules, Triplepoint, Wellington e Comdisco. Danielle, la cui carriera ventennale ha spaziato tra operations, investimenti e client coverage, guida le restanti attività dell'azienda. Prima di lanciare Sanctum Altriarch, Danielle è stata Managing Director presso Dyal Capital Partners, supervisionando le attività strategiche delle società in portafoglio.
L'operazione prevede l'acquisto di una partecipazione del 12,5% in Sanctum Altriarch attraverso un aumento di capitale volto a favorire la crescita della società, insieme ad un impegno di raccolta legato al primo fondo che verrà lanciato. I proventi della transazione saranno utilizzati per le spese operative, per stabilire i più alti standard in linea con le richieste degli investitori istituzionali e porre le basi per una crescita sostenibile nel lungo termine.

AACP è stata costituita a novembre 2019 con l'obiettivo di creare partnership con società di gestione specializzate negli investimenti alternativi, fornendo loro capitale permanente per crescere e raggiungere il loro massimo potenziale. La transazione con Sanctum Altriarch segna la sesta acquisizione di AACP, la prima nel settore Venture Lending. I cinque precedenti investimenti di minoranza realizzati da AACP sono: Kennedy Lewis (2020), HighPost Capital (2021), Pathlight Capital (2021), BroadLight Capital (2022) e RoundShield (2022).
