$2.27 Million Rights Issue Closes
Golden Rim Resources Ltd ( Golden Rim and Company, ASX: GMR) today announced that its rights issue has closed with shareholders taking up a total of 23,144,250 shares (including additional shares applied for) representing a shortfall of 33,656,442 shares. The rights issue is fully underwritten by Patersons Securities Limited. Following the underwriting, the total raised by the rights issue will be $2.27 million (before expenses).
The Company is pleased with the support it has received, particularly during the difficult market conditions the junior explorer sector is currently facing.
The renounceable rights issue gave eligible shareholders the opportunity to purchase one ordinary fully paid share for every nine held at 4 cents each. The rights issue follows a recently completed placement of 52,500,000 fully paid ordinary shares in the Company at an issue price of 4 cents per share to raise $2.1 million.
The total funds raised by the placement and rights issue (approximately $4.4 million) will be primarily applied to work at the Balogo, Sebba and Korongou projects.
There are exciting times ahead for Golden Rim. The Company has recently announced a maiden JORC resource and positive Scoping Study results for the Netiana Lodes at Balogo. Further, the Company is eager to explore its recently acquired Korongou Project.
