Exploration Manager Appointed in Chile

Golden Rim Resources Ltd (ASX: GMR, Golden Rim , Company ) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Mr Alex Raab as Exploration Manager of the Company, primarily responsible for managing the operations at the Company’s newly acquired Paguanta zinc-silver-lead project, in northern Chile.

Mr Raab is an American citizen and has a Bachelor of Science - Geology degree from Montana State University and a Master of Science – Economic Geology/Ore Deposits degree from Oregon State University.

Mr Raab has more than 20 years’ experience, he is fluent in Spanish, and has spent the majority of his career working in Latin America, particularly in Chile.

His experience includes greenfields and brownfields exploration, and new business development. Mr Raab has worked on a number of mineralisation styles and on various commodities. He has experience in low and high sulphidation epithermal, porphyry, mesothermal, shear-hosted gold, IOCG and poly-metallic vein systems.

Mr Raab has previously worked for Kinross Gold, Kennecott Exploration, Homestake Mining, and MIM Exploration. He was previously the Exploration Manager Chile and Uruguay for Orosur Mining, and the Country Manager for Uruguay Mineral Exploration in Chile.

As well as focusing on the Company’s Paguanta Project, Mr Raab will also assist the Company with new business development, assessing and evaluating new minerals project opportunities in South America.

Golden Rim’s Managing Director, Craig Mackay, said “We are fortunate to have secured an Exploration Manager of Alex’s calibre and we believe his experience can add considerable value to Paguanta”.

“The MT geophysical survey and geological mapping is well underway at Paguanta and we expect our first results shortly so we can finalise the hole positions for our planned diamond drilling program.”

“Paguanta exhibits significant upside, with potential to extend the existing high grade resource associated with the Cathedral Vein at depth and to define additional resources along strike,” said Mr Mackay.
