Exploration Activities

Figure 1: North Glandore showing target generation area (Yellow) and possible structures. The image shows the area of the Gravity Survey, with the Salt CreekMajestic Lineament (in Blue) and the major cross faults (in Green). This Lineament is the targets for mineralisation where it intersects the mineralising cross structures (Pink Dots).

Glandore Leases

During the Quarter, Aruma Resources Limited (ASX: AAJ) (“Aruma” or “the Company”) reported final assay results from the 74 hole, two Phase drilling program designed to test gold anomalies in previously unexplored or underexplored areas at the flagship Glandore Project in Western Australia’s eastern Kalgoorlie Goldfields region.

The effectiveness of the drilling is shown in Table 1 with a total of 55 from 74 holes returning anomalies and 8 being >1.0 g/t over a meter or more.

The drilling results at the Glandore Project have indicated the presence of a strong

gold mineralised system and a gravity survey will be used to define targets under shallow cover. This covered area has not been explored to date and the magnetics and gravity will be used by CSIRO to model the fluid flow in the area to generate targets for subsequent drilling. This modelling has been successful in generating targets in the east Kalgoorlie area that have yielded good gold grades in similar structural environments.

Native Title Agreements and mining licences are already in place at the Glandore Project which is located in an area that has shown a gold mineralising system of significant grade and remains at the early stages of exploration evaluation.

Kurnalpi South Project

The approval of the Programme of Works (PoW) at Steeple Hill was achieved during the Quarter and will allow the drilling to commence after the heritage survey is completed. Granting of the surrounding Exploration Licences will increase landholding within a 60 km radius of Glandore to an area of some 460 km[2] (shown in Figure 2). To this end the EL27/436 has been granted at Gindalbie allowing exploration to commence this Quarter.

North Eastern Goldfields Projects Progressing

Applications for PoWs over Laverton East and Jundee South were submitted during the Quarter. These are expected to be approved in the coming Quarter, with a resultant steady work program developing into the new financial year.

The Hyvista interpretation was completed for the northern areas during the Quarter. Recent results of the interpretation generated for Laverton East, shown in Figure 3 below, looks promising. The reddish areas shows the Goethite signal which is directly over the anomalous gold areas identified in the rock chip sampling reported by Hemisphere Resources Limited ( ASX: HEM ) to the market in December 2009.

Background

Aruma Resources Limited (ASX: AAJ) is a focussed West Australian based gold exploration company with five prospective project areas within the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. Inclusive of several tenements which are still under application, Aruma’s tenement package now totals approximately 613km[2] located on regional structures in the Norseman - Wiluna Greenstone Belt which contains most of Australia's lode-type gold deposits..

The flagship Glandore Project is approximately 40km east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Previous exploration of the Glandore Project, has identified several advanced exploration areas and some twenty under-explored prospective exploration targets.

The Kurnalpi South Project lies approximately 100km to the east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and comprises several gold exploration prospects including Lake Yindarlgooda, Christmas Well, Pinnacles South, Mt Quin and Steeple Hill, within a minimally explored area of a greenstone belt that hosts several major mines.

The Laverton East Project is located approximately 20km east of Laverton. Previous exploration of the area includes relatively shallow RAB drilling over much of the tenement and reconnaissance rock chip sampling returned several gold assays of greater than 0.2 g/t. An EL over 80 km[2] has been applied for to the north of the current leases at Paul Well in the prospective stratigraphy.

The Jundee South Project is approximately 50km to the east of Wiluna within the Yandal Greenstone belt. The Gourdis and Vause deposits are thought to be located on structures that extend to the west, through the Aruma Lease.

Each of the project areas can be readily accessed from the regional towns of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Laverton or Wiluna.
