Posting of Shareholder Circular

Microgen plc's ('Microgen' or 'Group') Strategic Review announcement released on 29 October 2013 provided details of a proposed tender offer.

Microgen today announces that it has posted to its shareholders a copy of the circular and accompanying Question and Answer Document (the "Shareholder Circular") setting out full details of the proposed tender offer. The Shareholder Circular also contains a notice of a General Meeting of the Microgen shareholders to be held at Old Change House, 128 Queen Victoria Street, London, EC3V 4BJ on 18 November 2013 at 9:00 a.m.

Copies of the Shareholder Circular will be available on Microgen's website www.microgen.com, for inspection during normal business hours at the registered office of Microgen and at the London office of the Company's solicitors, 8 Clifford Street, London W1S 2LQ. A copy of the Shareholder Circular will also be available at the venue of the General Meeting for at least 15 minutes before the General Meeting commences and for the duration of the meeting. A further copy of the Shareholder Circular will also be submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at www.hemscott.com.
