Ambea appoints Mark Jensen as new CEO and President

The Board of Ambea (publ) has appointed Mark Jensen as the new Chief Executive Officer and President. Mark (49), is at present the CEOand Nordic President of MTR Nordic AB. For a decade, Mark held several senior roles at Carlsberg, one of them as the CEOof Carlsberg Sweden for six years. Prior to Carlsberg, Mark held a variety of executive roles in the Netto group, where he started and built the Swedish branch as an example. Mark isoriginally Danish, but hasworked in Sweden for fifteen years.

  • We are happy that Mark with his deep knowledge in growing companies, commercial focus and extensive experience from multi-site service organizations, has accepted the appointment as CEOand President ofAmbea. His knowledge from working on an assignment from the public sector at MTRis highly useful as well as his leaderships skills and extensive experience from different line positions at many levels both in Sweden, the Nordics and internationally. His focus is on creating customer value and meeting customer needs, and he is driven by a strong will to continuously improve and develop.

  • Ambea's strategy is based on continued growth both organically and through acquisitions. The company needs to secure the provision of competence and talent going forward by developing the leadership and corporate culture.   • It is with great joy and energy that I have accepted this position. The development of the care sector in Scandinavia is a matter close to my heart and I am proud to be able to work in an area so important for the society as well as for the individual caretakers and their relatives. I bring experience and knowledge from several different sectors and from different countries, my experiences from operating railway and metro systems on behalf of the public sector in a political environment have been enriching and useful. Together with all employees ofAmbea, I look forward to continue to develop the care concepts further at Ambea, comments Mark Jensen.

Mark Jensen replaces Fredrik Gren, who is leaving the company by year end. The Board has named Benno Eliasson, CFOat Ambea, acting CEOand President until Mark assumes his position on 1 June 2021 at the latest.
