LAB Entreprenør to build new Holen school in Bergen

LAB Entreprenør AS, a company in AF Gruppen (AFG), has won the price and design competition and signed contract for the new Holen school in Laksevåg for Bergen municipality.

The project comprises a primary and secondary school for 650 students with a sports hall and outdoor area. The current two school buildings will be replaced by a combined and accessible school with good outdoor and indoor connections. The overall gross floor area is approximately 9,250 m2.

The project has strong ambitions in terms of the environment, and the new Holen school will be built as a near zero-energy building, certified in accordance with BREEAM-NOR Excellent, and will be implemented with a fossil-free construction site.

LAB’s tender was deemed to be the best both for the criteria “quality – project quality” and “understanding of assignment and implementation plan”.

The contract is valued at approximately NOK 303 million excluding VAT, and work will be carried out in the period Q1 2019 to Q2 2021.
