STRAITS RESOURCES LIMITED (ASX: SRQ)

TRITTON EXCEEDS GUIDANCE WITH RECORD ANNUAL COPPER PRODUCTION

Straits Resources Limited ( Straits ) is pleased to advise that its Tritton Operations in New South Wales has achieved record annual copper production of 30,245 tonnes in FY2015 (see graph 1 below) and has exceeded the previously upgraded guidance for FY2015 of 28,500 tonnes. Contained copper production for the fourth quarter was 6,977 tonnes.

Straits’ Executive Chairman Andre Labuschagne said: “FY2015 has been another great year for the Tritton Operations with strong performances across all departments. I especially want to thank all of our employees for their continued support and dedication. As has previously been announced, we are working with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and a new investor to restructure the current debt and provide access to capital to support the next stage of development for the Tritton Operations. The support of SCB and the new investor is a strong vote of confidence in the future operational and exploration potential of the Tritton Operations. Our focus in the coming year is to continue the strong operational performance and commence the capital investment programme to extend the life of the Tritton Operations.”
