November 2000. Die aap Implantate AG, eines der führenden Medizintechnik-Unternehmen in Deutschland auf dem Gebiet der biomedizinischen Implantate, hat in den ersten drei Quartale des laufenden Geschäftsjahres ein überproportionales Umsatz- und Ergebniswachstum realisiert. So stieg der Umsatz gegenüber dem vergleichbaren Vorjahreszeitraum um 75% von 7,9 Mio. DM auf 13,7 Mio. DM. Das Ergebnis der gewöhnlichen Geschäftstätigkeit wuchs von minus 0,2 Mio DM in den ersten 9 Monaten 1999 auf 2,6 Mio. DM im 9-Monatszeitraum 2000. Der Konzernperiodenüberschuss bereinigt gemäß DVFA konnte fast verdreifacht werden und liegt zum 30. September bei 1,5 Mio. DM gegenüber 0,5 Mio. DM im vergleichbaren Vorjahreszeitraum. Der aap-Vorstand begründete die erfreuliche Geschäftsentwicklung mit deutlich gestiegenen Umsätzen im Geschäftsfeld F&E-Dienstleistungen sowie mit der Ausweitung des Auslandsgeschäftes. Mit der weiteren Intensivierung der internationalen Vertriebsaktivitäten vor allem in China, Japan und den USA, der Fortführung der Entwicklungsprojekte im Geschäftsfeld F&E-Dienstleistungen sowie der getätigten Akquisition von Coripharm, Mebio und Corimed bzw. der Beteiligung an Osartis sieht die Unternehmensleitung große Wachstumspotenziale für die Zukunft. Turnover was up 75% on the year to DM 13.7 million from DM 7.9 million. Operating income increased to DM 2.6 million from minus DM 200 thousands in the review period. DVFA adjusted group profits could almost be tripled and increased to DM 1.5 million during the first nine months of 2000 from 0,5 million in the corresponding period last year. The aap board attributed this gratifying business trend to markedly higher turnover in the R&D-Services business field and to the expansion of foreign business. With the further intensification of international sales activities, especially in China, Japan and the U.S., the continuation of development projects in the R&D-Services sector, the acquisition of Coripharm, Mebio and Corimed and the stake in Osartis the management sees substantial growth potential for the future.
