The Board of Directors of TeraPlast SA received the prestigious "Envisia Board of the Year 2025" award at the Future of Boards Awards Gala, organized by Envisia Boards of Elite, a flagship event celebrating excellence in corporate governance in Romania.
The distinction recognizes boards that demonstrate strategic leadership, long-term vision, and responsible governance, contributing to the sustainable development of their organizations and strengthening trust in the business environment.
This award reflects TeraPlast's commitment to best governance practices, innovation, and sustainability, values that guide the company in consolidating its position as a regional leader in the construction materials industry.
"We are honored to receive this award, which confirms that we are on the right path and reflects years of careful work to build a Board prepared not only for where TeraPlast stands today, but for where we want it to go. We have found the right balance between international expertise and entrepreneurial spirit, between the discipline in governance and the courage to make decisions — the combination that defines a modern Romanian company with a global DNA.
The TeraPlast Board has a clear mission: to make decisions that ensure solid, sustainable growth and to guide the Group toward becoming a strong regional leader. Decisionmaking is the most important duty of a board of directors, and indecision is the greatest risk in a world moving at the speed of light.
At TeraPlast, we turn governance into a force for growth — through courage, vision, and determination. I hope to see more Romanian companies daring to become multinationals headquartered here, in Romania. We have the entrepreneurs, the capital, and the intelligence to move from being suppliers for others to becoming creators of regional value. It's time for Romania to export not only products, but also business models," said Mr. Dorel Goia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TeraPlast.
Aligned with TeraPlast Group's regional expansion and the need for greater diversity of expertise, the number of Board members was increased from five to seven starting December 2024. The current directors' mandate is valid until 2027.

The Board is composed of professionals with solid backgrounds in finance, capital markets, entrepreneurship, strategic consulting, corporate governance, and international management: Dorel Goia – Chairman, Lucian Claudiu Anghel, Vlad Nicolae Neacșu, Vasile Pușcaș, and George Toma Mucibabici – independent non-executive directors, Iulia-Daniela Mihăilă-Moldovan – non-executive director, and Alexandru Stânean – executive director.
The TeraPlast Board plays an active role in the strategic decision-making process — from approving major investments and international expansion plans to closely monitoring project implementation and financial performance. Through close collaboration and frequent meetings with the executive team, the Board ensures constant and transparent communication, a key element of TeraPlast's governance framework.
Under the Board's coordination, TeraPlast Group has accelerated its international expansion, now operating in five countries (Romania, Republic of Moldova, Hungary, Austria, and Croatia) and sales in over 25 European markets.
The Board has supported and approved major strategic investments, including:
Through these projects, the Board of Directors has demonstrated its ability to guide the Group through a complex economic environment, strengthening TeraPlast's position as the largest polymer processor in Southeastern Europe and as a promoter of Romanian industry at the European level.
