THE TESMEC GROUP WINS A FRAMEWORK CONTRACT WORTH 54 MILLION EUROS WITH TERNA RETE ITALIA, STRENGTHENING ITS STRATEGIC POSITIONING IN ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE AUTOMATION OF POWER GRIDS

• Subject of the supply awarded to the subsidiary Tesmec Automation: Automation Systems of Electric Stations RTN "SAS 2021 for a total value of 54 million euros;
• Client: Terna Rete Italia S.p.A., a Terna Group company responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of the national electricity transmission grid;
• With this new four-year contract, the Group continues its expansion strategy in the Energy Automation sector.

Grassobbio (Bergamo), 14 July 2025 – Tesmec S.p.A. (EURONEXT STAR MILAN: TES), a company at the head of a leading group in the market of technologies dedicated to infrastructure (overhead, underground and rail networks) for the transport of electricity, data and materials, as well as technologies for quarrying and surface mining, announces the signing, as a result of a tender procedure from a qualified sector, through its subsidiary Tesmec Automation S.r.l, of a framework contract with a total value of 54 million euros (36 million euros, plus 18 million euros under option) with Terna Rete Italia S.p.A., a Terna Group company in charge of the operation, maintenance and development of the national electricity transmission grid, relating to the on-site supply of Automation Systems of Electric Stations RTN "SAS 2021."

The SAS (Substation Automation System) is an architecture designed on IEC 61850 standard for the management of substations. The Tesmec Group will supply the SAS system for the automation, protection, control, and monitoring of high-voltage substations. This system is based on electrical panels containing intelligent electronic devices connected to a LAN network and a station SCADA system capable of managing the interface with the remote control center, automation, control of field devices, and monitoring of assets and environmental parameters.

The phases of development, implementation, factory testing, assembly, activation and on-site testing are foreseen for each SAS system.

Overall, the contract will have a duration of 4 years (plus 1 year and 6 months of possible extension) and will become committed to Terna Rete Italia's timely requests during the term period.

With this contract, Tesmec Group strengthens its position in the Italian market of advanced technologies for electrical grids, continuing its strategy of expansion in the Energy Automation sector.
