The following is a Company Announcement issued by MAPFRE Middlesea plc ('the Company'), pursuant to the Capital Markets Rules of the Malta Financial Services Authority.

MAPFRE Middlesea plc ('the Company') hereby announces that Mr Javier Moreno has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer of the Company with effect from 1 January 2025, in order to take up a new position within the MAPFRE S.A. Group;

The Board thanked Mr Moreno for his dedication to the Company over the years and wished him well in his future endeavours.

Consequent thereto the Company hereby advises the appointment of Mr Etienne Sciberras as the new Chief Executive Officer of MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c. with effect from the aforementioned date.

Mr Sciberras is a certified Public Accountant, holder of the CFA designation and an Honours degree in Commerce with a major in Management. He joined the Investments Area of the MAPFRE Group in 2000 where he was promoted to Senior Manager and was subsequently appointed Chief Risk Officer for MAPFRE MSV Life plc in 2012. In 2021 he was then promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the said subsidiary, a position that he has held to date.

The said appointment shall be conditional to regulatory approval being obtained.

There are no other matters concerning either Mr Moreno or Mr Sciberras that require disclosure in terms of the Listing Rules.
