As part of the AX Group's succession plan, the Company is pleased to announce Mr Kenneth Abela has been appointed by the company AX Group p.l.c. (C-12271) as Chief Executive Officer (Designate) of the AX Group. Mr Abela is an accountant by profession and has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Island Hotels Group for many years, and having also worked in a similar capacity with International Hotel Investments p.l.c.

Upon the eventual retirement of Mr Michael Warrington, the current Chief Executive Officer of the AX Group, Mr Abela will be appointed Chief Executive Officer of the AX Group in his stead.

The Company also announces that AX Group p.l.c. has appointed Mr Michael Warrington as Deputy Chairman of AX Group with effect from 1st December 2024.
