MOTA-ENGIL S.G.P.S., S.A. ("MOTA-ENGIL") announces the award of four contracts in Africa and one in Latin America with a total amount of €380 million.
In Africa, through its branches in Mozambique and Malawi, MOTA-ENGIL signed, with the Brazilian company Vale, two contracts relating to a railway line maintenance project for a total amount of US\$128.2 million and for a period of five years each. In addition, in Angola MOTA-ENGIL signed a 18 month contract for the construction of the road "Camama - Via Expresso / Luanda", worth €101.5 million, financed through the Portuguese COSEC line, a Portuguese Export Credit Agency, and another one for the revitalisation of Luanda streets (phase II A) for an amount of US\$71.4 million.
In addition, in Latin America, MOTA-ENGIL, through its subsidiary in Brazil, was awarded a road contract ("BR 381/MG – Stretch duplication, rehabilitation and improvement") for a period of 39 months amounting to R\$365 million (around €100 million).
With these new contracts, MOTA-ENGIL reinforces its order book by €380 million, thus contributing to the sustainable growth of the Company's activity and geographic diversification.
