MOTA-ENGIL INFORMS ABOUT THE INCREASE OF ITS BACKLOG IN €225 MILLION IN IVORY COAST AND PERU

MOTA-ENGIL, SGPS, SA ("MOTA-ENGIL") announces that it has entered into an agreement for the construction of a football stadium in Ivory Coast, a project for the African Cup of Nations to be held in that country in 2021, funded by the United Bank for Africa (UBA). The contract amounts to €83 million, being the second stadium to be built by MOTA-ENGIL recently in Africa, following the contract signed in the summer of 2017 in Cameroon for the rehabilitation of the stadium Omnisport Roundé Adja, one of the stadiums where it will take place the African Cup of Nations in 2019.

After having signed a contract of c. €320 million for the collection of waste and urban cleaning in the capital Abidjan in 2017 for a period of 7 years, MOTA-ENGIL AFRICA signed in January 2018 another contract of €140 million for the construction, management and operation of a landfill, which will soon be MOTA-ENGIL'S largest waste management operation, serving an estimated population of 4.6 million. Thus, with this new project, the GROUP has formalized, in less than a year, its third contract in this country, bringing the backlog to more than €540 million in Ivory Coast.

MOTA-ENGIL also announces the recent award of three important contracts in the Peruvian market for the private sector in the infrastructure and mining sectors, reinforcing the backlog of its local company (MOTA-ENGIL PERU) in about €142 million, with the following projects:

• Construction of the Port of San Martin, worth €110 million for Terminales Portuarios de Paracas, in Ica. The contract has a term of 24 months, and MOTA-ENGIL PERU has a stake of 33.3% in the consortium;

• Construction of the Vizcachas y Bocatoma Titire dam, worth €56 million for Anglo American Quellaveco, in the Moquegua region. The contract has a term of 26 months;

• Construction of Phase 4 of the Las Bambas dam, worth €50 million for the mining company MMG, in the Apurimac region. The contract has a term of 24 months.
