MOTA-ENGIL S.G.P.S., S.A. (MOTA-ENGIL) informs that following the implementation of the ongoing commercial strategy of deepening its presence in core markets, as established in the Strategic Plan Building´26, it signed new contracts in several Latin American countries with the aim of expanding, in dimension and profitability, its presence in those markets.
In Brazil, as a result of the medium and long-term cooperation strategy in structural projects for Tier 1 customers, it was awarded to MOTA-ENGIL another contract for offshore maintenance services, to be carried out within a period of 1,490 days and with a total amount of 743 million of reais (circa of €140 million) by a Consortium, majority owned by Petrobras.
In addition to this award, and since the beginning of the year, new contracts have been signed by its subsidiaries in Latin America (namely in Mexico, Brazil and Peru) in a total amount of €750 million, enabling it to reach a backlog in the region of more than €5.3 billion, equivalent to 3.5x 2022 turnover.
With the announced awards and the strong production levels underway in the first months of 2023, the GROUP consolidates the levels of activity to be carried out in the coming years to historically high levels.
