MOTA-ENGIL INFORMS ABOUT CONTRACT EXTENSION IN MOZAMBIQUE FOR THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF USD 576 MILLION

MOTA-ENGIL S.G.P.S., S.A. ("MOTA-ENGIL") informs that, through its subsidiary MOTA-ENGIL ENGENHARIA &CONSTRUÇÃO ÁFRICA ("MOTA-ENGIL AFRICA"), signed an amendment and an extension of the contract with Vulcan S.A., a subsidiary of the Jindal Group.

Continuing the services provided under the scope of the mining project at the Moatize Mine, located in the town of Moatize, Tete province, 1,500 km north of the capital Maputo, Mozambique, MOTA-ENGIL AFRICA signed a new addendum to the current contract, which establishes the extension of the works until December 31, 2027.

The amendment and extension of the above-mentioned contract add a value of USD 576 million to the backlog of the Mozambican market, reinforcing the stability and predictability of the contract mining activity in the African region, which sees its backlog in this activity reaching 2.5 billion euros.
